Five amazing women: Leading businesses that seek to create a better and more sustainable world
March 8 is International Women’s Day, which is celebrated across the globe. This year's theme is "I am Generation Equality: Realizing women's rights." It is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The first International Women's Day was observed on March 19, 1911, when more than a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland showed their support by participating in public events. In 1975, the United Nations recognized March 8 as International Women's Day.
The 100+ Accelerator is doing its part by supporting women-led businesses. For our second cohort, we received hundreds of applications. We selected the best startups that will help us solve our sustainability challenges. We are glad to profile five female leaders of our Accelerator looking to build a better world for the next 100 years.
Each of these women is leading the way to build great businesses that are making a difference in the world. We’re excited to have them on board with the 100+ Sustainability Accelerator!
